TRAINEE FARM MANAGER

Salary Band (£24,000 - £26,000 per annum)

Farm Manager Salary Band (£24,018 - £38,693 per annum)

Marine Harvest (Scotland) Ltd is currently seeking a highly motivated and strong individual to take the position of Trainee Farm Manager at our seawater site on Loch Seaforth, Isle of Harris.

The farming operations are split between two areas located within the south western end of the loch close to the village of Rhenigidale, North Harris and have combined consent of 3,300 tons.

Applications are invited from individuals who are genuinely interested in developing their career within the organisation, who have experienced at least two cycles of production to date and possess a good working knowledge of operating plastic pens. Initiative, the ability to manage and motivate personnel, good planning and organisation skills; a high degree of computer literacy; and a proven ability to achieve results without close supervision are some of the necessary skills required for this post.

The successful candidate will shadow the Farm Manager and attend the necessary training courses to learn about feed & stock management, harvest & grading planning, asset management, people resource and performance & HSEQ management.
